Book an In-Person Tour & Test Day

We require all new dogs to come by for a test day before boarding. It also gives you the chance to meet us, and allows your pup(s) to get comfortable on the farm before their first stay.

The Process:

  1. Call or text us at 706-201-5259 to workout a day where you will have approximately 15-20 minutes to do the following:
    1. Drop by (preferably between 7:30-8:30am) to meet us and our dogs for an introductory temperament test.
    2. Tour the property, ask questions, and take a peek inside the kennel.
    3. Leave your pup(s) to play for the day (preferably picking up between 5:00-7:00pm)
  2. Before arriving on the property, we will need you to send over the following required documentation:
    1. Up-to-date, Veterenarian verified vaccination records emailed to info@dixonkennels.com that include:
      1. Rabies
      2. DHPP (Distemper/Parvo)
      3. Kennel Cough (Bordatella)
    2. An online Doggie Info Form that gives us basic info about you and your dog(s).
  3. Text us your ETA at 706-201-5259 (preferably by the night before) so we’ll be ready to get you in and out as quickly as possible.

A Few Notes:

  1. We are only able to take family friendly dogs that get along well with people and pups of all sizes. If you are unsure about your dog(s) or have additional questions, please call or text us at 706-201-5259 to discuss.
    1. In the rare case that your dog fails the initial temperament test, they will need to return home with you. If your dog passes the initial test but displays negative behaviors later on in the day, we will contact you and isolate them appropriately until they can be picked up. At that point, since we are not setup for long-term isolation boarding, they would not be eligible to attend the farm going forward and any upcoming stays would be canceled.
